Former pupil, Grace Flynn, now available for instruction

30/03/2017

Grace started her 12-month Criminal law pupillage in September 2016 after being selected from an outstanding field of applicants.

She is now able to receive instructions. She shadowed her pupil supervisor, Mark Worsley, as well as many other members of the team during her first six months and has thus gained exposure to a wide range of criminal proceedings in both defence and prosecution work.

Grace has been accepted as a member of the CPS advocate panel scheme.

Grace grew up in Solihull, West Midlands. She obtained a first-class degree in French from Hertford College, Oxford University before taking up the law.  Grace speaks French fluently. She was then awarded an Inner Temple Major Scholarship which funded 100% of her studies at the College of Law, Birmingham.

Prior to starting pupillage, Grace received a Kalisher Trust Internship Award to work at the Criminal Cases Review Commission from September 2015 to February 2016. She then worked at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg for five months. Her role in the Court’s Press and Information Office included liaising with journalists and EU citizens and fielding questions about Brexit!
